WWe are more than just an insurance company. As a health partner, we are there for our customers when it matters. We are continually building on this commitment, such as through our long-term partnership with the Swiss Red Cross (SRC) that was launched in 2020.
Committed to life means accompanying our customers not only when a medical event occurs, but also when it comes to staying healthy. They can count on us in their daily lives as well as when they have a particular need. This is reinforced by our new telephone hotline, launched in autumn 2020, where customers can access advice and support.
Special events usually hit us as individuals. The COVID-19 pandemic, by contrast, suddenly presented a major challenge to us as a society. It continues to do so. As Helsana, we decided last year to do our bit to help as many people as possible.
This help was delivered in numerous forms. One of our customers’ greatest needs was information, and our blog and website posts about coronavirus attracted a huge number of hits. We made how to deal with the pandemic the focus of our new partnership with the Swiss Red Cross. And we donated tablets to homes, hospitals and Spitex organisations so that elderly people in particular who found themselves could use video calls to see and speak to their relatives.
